Our story begins in 1973 with the creation of the C & M, Lda., with Aureliano de Sousa Martins as one of its founders..
ASM – Aureliano de Sousa Martins, founded in January 1978, becomes one of the first companies producing insoles for shoes in Portugal.

In 1984, a period of great expansion, ASM evolves into a private limited company, ASM – Aureliano de Sousa Martins & CA Ltd.
In the course of this millennium and in order to provide the company with agility and competitiveness in a globalized economy, a new corporate transformation takes place, changing the company into ASM International Trade and Industry S.A..

ASM S.A., as it is known at present, is a company focused on technological developments and on the future and aims to meet the footwear industry requirements, as far as the development and production of insoles for men, woman and children’s shoes are concerned.
